Diving has a unique allure on Kavaratti Island, the capital of Lakshadweep. Kavaratti is the élite Dive cites in India. We assure you that you will never regret diving at Kavaratti Island. We can see rare and large fish compared to other places. From September to May, sharks, bull rays, turtles, the school of jacks, red snapper, Napoleon wrasse, barracuda, humpback, parrotfish, and giant sweetlips are abundant at Kavaratti dive sites.
How to Reach
All the islands of Lakshadweep are very well connected by the mainland through air or sea transport. One can also avail the services of helicopter or boat to reach one island from the other. You can hire a bicycle or walk through the island, once you reach any of the islands of Lakshadweep.

By Sea: TThe MV Kavaratti, MV Lagoons, MV Corals, MV Arabian Sea, and MV Lakshadweep Sea are among the five passenger ships that operate from Cochin to Lakshadweep. The journey along this route takes around 14 to 20 hours. Accommodation classes on these ships include A/C Deluxe Class (with two-berth cabins), A/C First Class (with four-berth cabins), and Tourist Class (with A/C seating). The ships have an entertainment lounge, walkways, cafeterias, snack bars, video shows, etc. From Cochin, you can book a comfortable journey on one of these cruise ships directly to Kavaratti or any other island (primarily Agatti), from where you can catch any of the inter-islander speed boats that operate daily. By Air: The nearest international airport to Lakshadweep is the Cochin International Airport, connecting Lakshadweep (Agatti) and the mainland. Cochin International Airport operates several onward flights to the major airports in India and also to some foreign destinations. The only airport in Lakshadweep is in Agatti; from Agatti to Kavaratti, one can avail of a helicopter, speedboat, or ship service. Flights from Cochin to Agatti Island take nearly an hour and a half. Daily, a flight operates from Cochin to Agatti.

1. An entry permit is required to visit Lakshadweep. Once you apply for an entry permit, it takes 10–15 days for approval.

2. Speed boat services from Agatti to Kavaratti operate from October to May, which is the best time to visit the islands.
3. Ship tickets are released on lakport.utl.gov.in approximately four days in advance.​
4. To book ship tickets, visit the ticket counters in person or online at https://lakport.utl.gov.in. It's recommended to book to and from flights to Agatti after obtaining an entry permit because only one flight is operating daily. Also, getting a ticket is risky due to the heavy tourist flow.
5. You need to allow 18 hours to pass before flying after diving!
